The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through May 27th, 2027, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours weekly.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Tennessee Occupational Therapist license
- Experience or enthusiasm for working in school environments
- Ability to manage a moderate-to-large student caseload effectively
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Experience supervising or mentoring COTA staff preferred
- Reliable transportation for travel between schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and direct/consultative services for a diverse student group
- Supervise and provide clinical guidance to three Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Collaborate with teachers, support professionals, and families to maximize student access and participation in educational activities
- Adapt interventions to meet both individual and group needs across multiple school sites
- Document services and progress according to compliance standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team planning
