As the lead OT, you’ll oversee the delivery of therapeutic interventions for a caseload of approximately 120 students. Collaborate closely with a team of three COTAs, guiding them across the district to meet each student’s unique needs. While most work takes place at a primary location, some travel between nearby schools is required, giving you the opportunity to build relationships with educators and students throughout the area.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Tennessee
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred
- Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with COTAs
- Reliable transportation for inter-school travel
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, direct intervention, and progress monitoring for students’ occupational therapy needs
- Oversee and mentor three COTAs to ensure consistent, high-quality therapy delivery
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state policies
- Develop individualized treatment plans to help each student reach their potential
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding student progress and needs
