Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a skilled Occupational Therapist within a collaborative school environment near Murfreesboro, TN. Your schedule will include three days per week, with each day comprising seven hours of essential, hands-on work. In-person support is preferred, ensuring close connections with students and staff. There is a possibility for increased days should referral needs grow over the course of the assignment, which runs from the first week of February until a week or two before the school year concludes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Tennessee
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy
- Familiarity with OT and sensory evaluations in an educational setting
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct OT or sensory evaluations for students referred or due for re-evaluation
- Directly serve 11 designated students across four local schools
- Consult with teachers and support teams regarding OT interventions for 15-20 additional students
- Attend IEP and support team meetings, contributing expertise to ensure student success
- Provide consultation services to both students and staff, fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
