With a standard 37.5 hours per week and an Early School (ES) placement, you’ll provide essential services that directly impact the growth and development of young learners.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Ohio Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role preferred
- Familiarity with supporting elementary students, specifically PK-5th grade
- Solid understanding of implementing IEPs and collaborating within educational teams
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies for diverse learning needs
- Commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality in a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect OT services to students in PK-5th grade
- Assess students’ motor, sensory, and functional skills to develop treatment plans
- Write and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored for each student
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other related service professionals
- Conduct regular student progress monitoring and maintain required paperwork
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student achievement
- Contribute to a collaborative, positive school environment
