Key qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist, valid for practice in Wisconsin
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Additional background in home health OT, pediatric OT, or general healthcare OT a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and record-keeping abilities
- Passion for supporting early childhood through 5th grade students with diverse needs
- Willingness to work on-site, with no remote or hybrid scheduling
Position responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to elementary students, adapting interventions to meet individual goals
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to develop and implement student support plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions
- Attend scheduled after-hours meetings as required by the school (some weeks)
- Engage with families to support student growth and carryover strategies
- Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional standards
