Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active and valid OT licensure in the state of New Jersey
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to tailor interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Knowledge of IEP processes and compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Assess and document students' functional abilities and needs within the classroom setting
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and school teams to support student access to curriculum
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote participation and independence
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including IEP meetings, to support student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and thorough records and progress reports
- Offer consultation to staff and families regarding student accommodations and adaptive strategies
