Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in New Jersey
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Skilled in creating and implementing IEPs and related documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Flexible and proactive approach to addressing student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions tailored to educational settings
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation skills
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of intervention, progress, and communication
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to IEP development and reviews
- Consult with teachers and staff to adapt classroom activities and support inclusion
- Engage families and caregivers, sharing strategies and progress updates
