Job Description
A school district in Corona, California is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full‑time, school‑based contract. This position serves K–12 students and focuses on supporting students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skills to promote access to the educational environment. Candidates with experience in assistive technology and school‑based therapy are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings
Assess student needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional performance
Develop, implement, and monitor therapy goals within IEPs
Recommend and implement assistive technology tools and adaptive equipment to support student access and independence
Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate assistive technology into classroom instruction
Conduct evaluations to determine appropriate AT supports and accommodations
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with IEP requirements
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Support student independence in academic and daily living activities
Qualifications
Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license
NBCOT certification required
Experience with or knowledge of assistive technology in educational settings
Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
Credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field
Experience
Previous school‑based or pediatric experience preferred
Experience working with assistive technology tools (AAC devices, adaptive equipment, etc.) strongly preferred
New graduates with appropriate licensure are encouraged to apply
Skills
Strong knowledge of occupational therapy practices in educational settings
Proficiency in assistive technology implementation and evaluation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Work Hours
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Approximately 37–40 hours per week
