Key Qualifications & Experience
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Solid communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
- Proficiency in evaluation, therapy planning, and documentation
- Ability to create individualized plans tailored to students’ educational and functional goals
- Knowledge of IEP processes and related paperwork
Core Responsibilities
- Assess students’ abilities and develop customized intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within the school environment
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Document evaluations, progress, and services in compliance with school and legal standards
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other related service providers
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and strategies to promote student independence
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that empowers all learners
