Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student participation and learning
- Document sessions, track progress, and maintain organized records consistent with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide recommendations, and help shape strategies to support students’ academic and functional success
- Utilize adaptive equipment and technology to foster student independence
- Offer support or training to school staff about best practices in classroom accommodations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an OT (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience working within school settings and with IEPs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies for a diverse student population
