Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience providing occupational therapy within a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of assessments, IEP development, and implementation
- Ability to work effectively with students across K-12th grade, tailoring interventions to diverse needs
- Excellent communication and organizational capabilities
- Passion for supporting student growth and participation in educational activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to identify students’ needs and document findings in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions, emphasizing participation in classroom and school routines
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in both individual and group settings
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support student goals
- Maintain accurate records of services delivered and progress monitoring
- Offer professional guidance to staff and parents regarding OT strategies that support classroom learning and daily living skills
- Adapt materials and modify environments to improve student access and independence
