Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Washington, or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a dynamic caseload across multiple grade levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students, educators, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade, supporting their engagement and success in the educational environment
- Implement treatment plans developed in collaboration with an Occupational Therapist and participate in goal setting
- Adapt strategies and interventions to meet varied student needs across multiple grade levels
- Document student progress, ensure compliance with educational and legal standards, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that promotes students’ independence and confidence
