Key Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials required
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively collaborate with Occupational Therapists, educators, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to work onsite throughout the academic year
- Current licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a COTA in Washington State
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students, following IEP goals
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to support students’ participation in classroom activities
- Document progress and maintain compliance with IEP requirements and district policies
- Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams on assessments and intervention plans
- Educate and support teachers and parents on effective accommodations and therapeutic techniques
- Adapt to a diverse caseload covering various developmental needs and grade levels
