Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure and credentials for school-based practice
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school environment strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and therapy documentation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Strong ability to adapt OT techniques to meet diverse student needs
- Commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards in all interactions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and therapy needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans as part of IEP team
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in various school settings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Participate in meetings to share expertise and contribute to student-centered planning
- Offer strategies and resources that foster student independence and participation in school activities
