School Occupational Therapist | Orland Park, Illinois

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Illinois or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
- Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Compassion, flexibility, and a student-centered approach
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to elementary students
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate goal-setting and program development
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and evaluation reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support plans
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe therapy environment
This is a full-time role, offering 32.5 hours per week within a supportive school community focused on student achievement and well-being.
