Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain by start date)
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
- Understanding of the unique needs of elementary-aged students
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Strong collaborative and communication skills for working with teachers, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine strengths and growth areas impacting their academic participation and independence
- Develop and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress within the school environment
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of services delivered
- Consult with educators and caregivers to foster an inclusive, supportive environment for all students
