Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Strong understanding of IEPs, compensatory services, and school documentation
- Creative problem-solver who adapts therapy activities to individual student needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and educators
- Ability to schedule and deliver sessions after school hours in coordination with the family
Position Details & Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services to a 3rd-grade student in accordance with compensatory and ongoing IEP mandates
- Fulfill 11 compensatory sessions (30 minutes each; total of 5.5 hours)
- Provide 1 weekly 30-minute session, transitioning to 1 monthly session starting in November
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation skills
- Maintain up-to-date session notes and progress reports for district and family communication
The flexible after-3:30 PM schedule allows you to coordinate directly with the student’s family, promoting work-life balance while making a targeted impact. The contract is ongoing with no set end date, providing you with consistency and the chance to build a strong rapport with those you serve.
