Occupational Therapist School Setting in Puyallup, WA

In this role, you’ll be working across 3-4 school buildings and providing services to students ranging from elementary to high school. On average, you will deliver approximately 950 direct service minutes per week, with additional time allocated for important indirect and consultative tasks. This is a hands-on position where your expertise will contribute to helping students meet functional and academic goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid OT license for the state of Washington (required)
- Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting (required)
- Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload spanning elementary through high school levels
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with educators, school staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services for students at multiple campuses
- Complete comprehensive evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation
- Work collaboratively with general and special education teams to support student participation and independence in school routines and activities
- Educate and train school staff and families on strategies for student success
- Adapt and modify learning materials and environments as needed to facilitate access
