Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Current occupational therapy licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services in school-based or pediatric settings.
- Proficiency with assessments, developing intervention plans, and documenting progress.
- Skill in training educational staff and implementing classroom-based supports.
- Ability to evaluate, select, and monitor adaptive equipment use for students.
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supervising therapy assistants as needed.
- Strong organization and communication skills, with a commitment to supporting student success.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to identified students and consult with staff across seven counties.
- Assess students’ needs, develop individualized plans, and monitor progress toward goals.
- Set up in-class or program-wide occupational therapy supports that enhance student access and participation.
- Train and consult with educators, families, and assistants to support student engagement.
- Oversee and mentor therapy assistants as needed, ensuring the highest quality care.
- Manage documentation and maintain accurate records in line with school and compliance requirements.
This is a 40-hour per week, 189-day contract position beginning August 24, 2026. The assignment is based at a central location and involves collaboration with a dedicated educational team.
