Based out of the Manzanita Building, you’ll collaborate with teams dedicated to empowering every learner.
You’ll draw on your expertise to assess individual student needs and deliver both direct and consultative occupational therapy services. Your training and support help school staff create inclusive environments, ensuring students meet their educational goals. You’ll also evaluate, select, and monitor adaptive equipment, and may supervise therapy assistants to help maximize student progress.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility) in Oregon
- Experience in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Understanding of adaptive equipment and training practices
- Ability to travel across several counties on occasion
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering positive, inclusive learning environments
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate student needs and deliver therapy aligned with IEP goals
- Provide consultative support to educational staff and families
- Design and implement strategies to improve student participation and access
- Set up specialized programs and equipment for classroom use
- Conduct ongoing monitoring and assessment of therapy outcomes
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants as needed
