Working closely with teachers, staff, and families, you will play a pivotal role in helping students maximize their independence and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Active OT licensure in the state
- Previous school-based occupational therapy experience preferred
- Strong collaboration skills with educators and families
- Ability to adapt therapy plans for varying student needs and IEP goals
- Familiarity with documentation and compliance within educational settings
- Effective communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized plans aimed at supporting fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student’s unique needs are addressed
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to team planning, and maintain accurate documentation
- Engage with caregivers and school staff to support generalization of skills into the classroom and home
- Offer training and support for teachers on strategies and modifications to promote student success
