Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure
- Prior experience in school-based OT settings preferred
- Ability to supervise and support Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA)
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, especially when working with staff, students, and families
- Flexible and adaptable mindset, comfortable moving between multiple campuses
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide OT evaluation, treatment, and consultation services at both a middle school and elementary site
- Oversee and mentor a COTA to ensure comprehensive service delivery
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans designed to enhance students’ ability to participate fully in their educational experiences
- Communicate and consult effectively with teachers, related service staff, and administration
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation of services in alignment with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on students’ functional abilities and recommendations as needed
