The schedule is part-time, with hours and exact school location to be finalized following placement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license or eligibility under the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act
- Two or more years of experience in pediatric therapy, with a strong background in supporting developmental disabilities
- Proven success delivering occupational therapy within a school or educational setting
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, including collaboration with multidisciplinary school staff and families
- Onsite presence is required throughout the assignment (remote or hybrid/VOCO arrangements are not available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for students requiring OT support
- Develop, implement, and track individualized treatment plans within the framework of each student’s IEP
- Work closely with teachers, support personnel, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and home environment
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and document outcomes according to school district protocols
- Offer training and resources to educational staff and families, empowering them with strategies to support students’ daily functioning
