This role is perfect for an adaptable Occupational Therapist with a passion for fostering independence and growth in young learners. You’ll play a pivotal role in both in-person and teletherapy formats, ensuring students receive consistent and high-quality OT support from now through the end of the school year.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California
- Previous school-based OT experience highly valued
- Background in home health, healthcare, or teletherapy models preferred
- Confident working with diverse student needs across TK-12
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services as outlined in student IEPs
- Utilize in-person and virtual methods to address student needs and maximize accessibility
- Assess, plan, and document progress towards therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate OT strategies into the classroom and home
- Address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skill development
- Maintain timely records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Support compliance with school and district guidelines from ASAP through the end of the school year
