This rewarding contract opportunity allows you to leverage your OT expertise in a supportive educational environment, interacting with children and collaborating with school staff to deliver impactful therapy services.
Highlights of this position:
- Full-time contract, 40 hours per week during the academic year (August 2026 through May 2027; dates subject to change)
- Serve a diverse PreK-8th grade student caseload (determined at start of position)
- Onsite role offering direct engagement with students and educational teams
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Arizona Occupational Therapist license is required
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required and must be valid through the assignment
- Proven experience with school-based OT services is necessary
- Ability to adapt strategies for individualized and group therapy in educational settings
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude to partner with teachers, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs and develop individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver occupational therapy sessions tailored to developmental and educational objectives
- Document student progress and maintain compliant records
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and support team efforts for student success
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to support students in the learning environment
