Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services to students ranging from ages 3 to 21 in a vibrant Houston-area educational setting. This is a full-time, onsite position for skilled OTs or experienced COTAs, spanning the entire 2026-2027 school year. You'll work within an assigned zone, typically serving 6 to 7 schools, keeping your commute reasonable and consistent.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Texas
- Multiple years of pediatric or school-based experience strongly preferred, especially for COTAs
- Experience with evaluations and participation in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress monitoring
- Proficient with documentation systems such as SHARES, Onward, and Excel
- Commitment to maintaining district fingerprinting requirements (completed or able to complete)
- Strong collaborative skills and adaptability in multi-site settings

Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload aiming around 70 students, with a focus on consultative services; 30-40 students will require direct therapy
- Conduct evaluations and participate in ARDs for referred students
- Design and deliver treatment targeting functional life skills and access to curriculum
- Track and report progress, keeping thorough and timely documentation
- Coordinate services within a designated school zone, flexibly responding to student needs and schedules
- Serve as the lead OT without direct COTA support—autonomy and leadership are key
