What you bring:
- Valid Ohio occupational therapist license (required)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting (preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for fostering student success and independence across diverse populations
- Adaptable approach to caseloads spanning elementary, middle, and high school ages
Key responsibilities:
- Assess students’ abilities and needs through observations and standardized assessments
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans to address educational and functional goals
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
- Document progress, collaborate on multidisciplinary teams, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide strategies and adaptations to enhance participation in academic and daily activities
- Educate and empower teachers and staff to support student occupational needs
