Virtual Occupational Therapist - Vermont
A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services, with a focus on telehealth and in-person support. This part-time role is located in Bennington, VT, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The position is expected to start as soon as possible and continue through August 16.
Responsibilities include providing occupational therapy evaluations and interventions aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a caseload of approximately 15 students. Services will be delivered both via telehealth and onsite, offering flexible modes of support that accommodate student needs. Participation in the Extended School Year (ESY) program is required to ensure continuity of care during summer months.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and implement treatment plans tailored to K-12 student needs
- Deliver therapy sessions utilizing telehealth platforms and in-person visits
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate OT goals within the school environment
- Participate in extended school year programs to support ongoing student progress
- Document services and maintain compliance with school and regulatory standards
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings
- Proficiency in telehealth service delivery for pediatric populations
- Familiarity with K-12 student developmental and educational needs
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 15 students effectively
