Virtual Occupational Therapist - VT
A part-time position is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based telehealth services for K-12 students. This role involves providing skilled OT support through remote sessions and direct school involvement, primarily serving approximately 15 students with a focus on Extended School Year (ESY) programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services via telehealth and in-school settings to support students’ developmental and educational needs.
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized plans for students.
- Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation in compliance with educational regulations.
- Support ESY programming by providing consistent therapeutic interventions to sustain developmental gains during the summer months.
- Adapt therapeutic techniques to accommodate virtual delivery and diverse student needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based practice.
- Proficiency in telehealth service delivery tailored to pediatric and educational settings.
- Familiarity with K-12 student populations, including knowledge of developmental milestones and educational impact.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 15 students, ensuring individualized attention.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, parents, and students.
Location & Schedule: This contract opportunity is based in Brattleboro, VT, with services provided remotely and potentially on-site as needed. The position is part-time and immediately available with an assignment period through August 16, aligning with the ESY schedule.
