School Occupational Therapist | Tempe, Arizona
Make an impact supporting students on a single K-12 campus while expanding your skills as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract position, situated near Tempe, AZ, covers the ’26/’27 academic year. The assignment offers the benefit of serving all grade levels in one location, streamlining collaboration and student engagement.
Essential qualifications include a valid Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiner's license. Candidates familiar with the School Based Medicaid Program are strongly preferred, and those with a background in diverse occupational therapy approaches—such as home health, teletherapy, and broad healthcare settings—are especially encouraged to apply.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy to students across K-12, enhancing educational access and participation
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized goals, and monitor student progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families, and other professionals
- Maintain timely documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Support School Based Medicaid Program initiatives, including accurate reporting and billing compliance
- Utilize a variety of service delivery models, including direct, consultative, and teletherapy options
The campus hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., with early release every Wednesday at 12:30. You’ll have the chance to interact with a supportive school community and truly see the impact of your work across all ages.
