Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for Idaho (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience providing OT services within a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and goal-setting for school-based therapy
- Ability to collaborate with fellow OTs, special education staff, and families
- Effective communicator, organized, and adaptable to changing needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with diverse occupational therapy needs
- Provide direct interventions focused on enhancing students’ functional independence, sensory processing, and academic participation
- Regularly document progress and actively contribute to IEP meetings and planning
- Work closely with another OT to ensure equitable distribution of caseload and continuity of care
- Serve multiple schools within a compact area, allowing for maximum impact with minimal travel time
