Occupational Therapist School Setting in Jerome, ID
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students across a districtwide setting as an Occupational Therapist. In this impactful contract role, you’ll partner with another OT to provide essential services for a caseload of approximately 35 students, all with individualized education plans (IEPs). Assignments are districtwide, but each location is just a few blocks apart, making travel between schools simple and manageable.
This part-time position begins August 17, 2026, and continues through May 20, 2027. The district values focused collaboration, ensuring that the caseload of 400-500 students is thoughtfully divided. You’ll have the opportunity to make meaningful connections while providing direct onsite therapy.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT state licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Knowledge of IEP documentation and compliance processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions to students with various needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Assess student progress and adjust treatment goals as needed
- Travel between assigned schools (all within close proximity)
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and federal guidelines
