Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapy license preferred (or ability to obtain before new school year)
- Prior experience working as an OT in educational settings strongly desired
- Solid understanding of child and adolescent development
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students to determine areas of need and develop individualized intervention plans
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions both one-on-one and in group formats
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate OT goals into students’ academic programs
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide guidance to support adaptive skills, self-regulation, and sensory processing for students across settings
- Serve as a resource for staff and parents, offering strategies and education as needed
