Key Qualifications:
- Current Nevada Occupational Therapy license required
- Experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong skills in conducting therapy sessions, evaluations, and assessments
- Ability to organize and manage a caseload of approximately 50-55 students
- Completion of fingerprinting and drug screening as part of credentialing process
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility for working with students of varying ages and abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy intervention and support to students in kindergarten through 12th grade
- Perform detailed assessments and develop individualized educational plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to promote student success
- Maintain accurate documentation for all sessions, progress notes, and assessments
- Travel between 3-4 school sites as assigned within the district for full-time coverage
- Participate actively in student and team meetings, contributing clinical expertise
The contract runs from August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering a stable schedule of 37.5 hours per week. With an average caseload and broad exposure to diverse school environments, this role is ideal for OTs eager to expand their experience and make a difference for students across multiple grade levels.
