This exciting opportunity begins September 8, 2026, offering a full-time schedule (five days per week) with the flexibility to support a variety of student needs. As part of a dedicated team supporting local schools, you’ll have the chance to foster growth and independence for young learners, working in diverse educational environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Current New York State Occupational Therapy license required
- Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Proven ability to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to a wide range of student needs and abilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop targeted intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other clinicians to maximize student participation and achievement
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings as needed
- Consult with families and school teams, offering strategies and supports for students’ development and learning
