Key Qualifications:
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or within educational environments preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and best practices for school-based OT interventions
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other support professionals
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students to determine need for OT intervention
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Work in partnership with teachers and educational staff to support classroom success
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate staff and families on best practices to encourage student achievement in and out of the classroom
