This full-time, contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year near the Woodstock, IL, area involves delivering direct services to students while also providing guidance and supervision to a COTA. You’ll work Monday through Friday, helping children reach their fullest potential in daily school life.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy certification or licensure required
- Experience working in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to supervise and support a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEP
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to promote student success
- Supervise and support the work of a COTA, ensuring quality interventions
- Accurately document evaluations, progress, and outcomes
- Attend required meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt therapy strategies to best support individual student goals
- Remain informed about best practices and compliance requirements in school-based OT
