Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organization and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ fine and gross motor skills to identify needs and set goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s educational objectives
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing observations and recommendations with faculty and families
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation, progress notes, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure student progress
- Guide classroom staff in integrating occupational therapy strategies into daily routines
