What we’re seeking:
- State licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience working in a school-based or pediatric environment preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and staff
- Ability to develop creative, individualized interventions for students with a range of needs
- Efficient time-management and adaptability within a school day schedule
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services in small group or one-on-one formats
- Assess students’ motor, sensory, and functional abilities to determine needs and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators and families to integrate therapy goals into the learning environment
- Participate in IEP meetings to share findings and recommendations
- Document services and maintain compliance with all district and federal guidelines
- Offer consultative support to teachers to enhance classroom participation for all students
This is a part-time role, requiring your expertise 2 1/2 days per week, aligned with the elementary school hours of 8:35 am to 3:38 pm. You’ll benefit from working within a supportive educational community, impacting students’ development and fostering growth.
