Skilled Nursing Facility Occupational Therapist in Exmore, VA

You’ll work an engaging 37.5-hour week, providing essential occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 20-25 students. You'll also play a key role in mentoring and supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
What we're looking for:
- Current and active Virginia OT license (VA OT)
- Experience providing school-based or pediatric occupational therapy intervention
- Familiarity with Home Health and Healthcare therapy environments a plus
- Strong skills in conducting assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, and delivering direct and consultative therapy services
- Confidence in supervising COTAs and supporting their ongoing growth
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of students to determine strengths, challenges, and needs
- Developing and implementing targeted intervention plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Delivering direct occupational therapy for a diverse group of students, ensuring progress and safety at all times
- Supervising COTAs, overseeing treatment delivery, and offering guidance as needed
- Maintaining comprehensive and timely documentation consistent with school and professional standards
- Collaborating closely with educators, families, and other school professionals
