Your essential qualifications:
- Active California OT or COTA license required
- Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy settings preferred
- Comfortable working with elementary-aged students with a variety of needs
- Adaptable to multiple environments—schools, home health, teletherapy, and healthcare settings
- Strong communicator (written and verbal) for diverse collaboration with families and educational teams
- Commitment to excellence and fostering student independence
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled OT assessments, interventions, and individualized education plan (IEP) support for elementary school caseloads
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop tailored strategies enhancing students’ daily living and academic skills
- Serve five school sites, traveling between locations as needed within the district
- Participate in required documentation, meetings, and reporting to monitor progress and compliance
- Utilize teletherapy platforms as necessary to ensure continuity of services
- Complete onboarding requirements as required by the district, including signing a contract and possible fingerprinting prior to start
