Key Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (please note, a bachelor’s degree is not required for COTA, but a valid Maryland COTA license is essential)
- Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant license in Maryland
- Previous experience in a school environment is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students with diverse needs across K-12 grade levels
- Assist in implementing prescribed therapy interventions and documenting student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and IEP teams to promote student success
- Maintain records and contribute to the development of individualized plans
