Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current, valid COTA license in California
- Previous experience with pediatric or school-based occupational therapy is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and documentation abilities
- Passion for supporting the educational and functional growth of students
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individual and group therapy sessions as designed by a supervising occupational therapist
- Assist in developing and carrying out treatment plans addressing students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support students’ fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Accurately document progress and maintain all required records
- Adapt interventions in response to students’ evolving needs and classroom settings
