School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Corona, California
Contribute your expertise to a collaborative and welcoming school environment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant working with students in the vibrant Corona area. This contract position is an excellent opportunity to support young learners’ development and independence, with a manageable schedule of 25 hours per week—allowing for work-life balance and focused engagement.
You’ll start with shadowing on November 20th, acclimating to the school setting and team, then step into your full responsibilities after Thanksgiving on November 30th. If you have a background in pediatrics and ideally school-based experience, your skills and insights will be deeply valued here.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid COTA certification and licensure in California
- Pediatric experience required; school-based experience strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate with OT supervisors, special educators, and staff
- Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and families
- Strong organizational abilities to manage caseload and documentation
What You’ll Do:
- Support occupational therapy goals for students, individually and in groups
- Deliver interventions and activities to promote students’ fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Document progress notes and assist in developing treatment plans
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to maximize student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEPs as needed
You’ll work on campus for five 5-hour days, ensuring continuity and deep connection with the students you serve. The role offers the chance to enrich your school-based skills in a community-based environment, all while maintaining an organized and balanced workweek.
