In this role, you’ll spend up to 25 hours per week—five hours daily, Monday through Friday—helping students reach their fullest potential. The assignment begins November 20th, with a brief shadowing period before transitioning to your full responsibilities after Thanksgiving on November 30th.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials required
- Strong pediatric background, especially within educational or school-based settings
- Positive attitude and collaborative approach with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse student populations
- Valid licensure to practice as a COTA in California
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students under an OT’s supervision
- Implement developmentally appropriate activities and interventions
- Assist in the development and execution of IEP goals
- Document progress, maintain records, and communicate observations
- Foster an encouraging and inclusive classroom atmosphere
