Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Huntington Beach, CA

We're seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work in a school setting near Huntington Beach, CA. In this role, you’ll collaborate with licensed occupational therapists, teachers, and staff to deliver impactful therapy supporting children’s success both in and out of the classroom.
This position is structured at 25 hours per week—five hours daily, Monday through Friday—offering a consistent schedule that fits well with work-life balance. You'll begin by shadowing the current team starting November 20th, ensuring a smooth transition, with a move to your full caseload after Thanksgiving (November 30th).
Ideal candidates bring a passion for pediatric care and ideally have experience working within schools. Your clinical skills and commitment will empower young learners to achieve greater participation in academic and daily activities.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
- Pediatric experience required; school-based experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP documentation and goal tracking
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Position Highlights:
- Consistent daytime schedule: 5 hours per day, Monday–Friday
- 25 hours per week for the 2023-2024 academic year
- Begin with shadowing to provide continuity of care before assuming a full caseload
