Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Valid state license (or eligibility)
- Recent experience providing occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and adapting interventions to individual needs
- Knowledge of IEP documentation and compliance requirements is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapist to implement evidence-based activities and interventions
- Document student progress, participation, and response to interventions
- Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and other team members to support student achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions on student goals and progress
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of therapy equipment and materials
