Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade in a collaborative educational environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload, providing essential occupational therapy services to help students build skills and confidence.
You’ll enjoy a full-time schedule, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Each week, you’ll work closely with 50-75 students across four schools, delivering individualized and group sessions that range from 30 to 60 minutes. Your expertise will make a meaningful impact on students’ lives, supporting their participation and success in the school setting.
Qualifications:
- Active NM State Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- NM Educational Certificate
- Experience with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Adaptability and organization when managing multiple schools and a varied caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Conduct individual and small group sessions with students across Pre-K to 12th grade
- Document student progress and prepare reports according to school and state requirements
- Partner with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals and ensure positive outcomes
- Participate in IEP team meetings and contribute to comprehensive educational plans
