School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Malaga, New Mexico

Key Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in New Mexico required
- Experience or training in school-based therapy settings preferred
- Current or eligibility for New Mexico Public Education Department ( PED ) License is a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, other therapists, and school staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to nurturing and empowering students across a diverse K-12 population
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering direct therapy sessions to students on an assigned caseload as directed by the supervising OT
- Collaborating with the educational team to develop and implement IEP goals
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Participating in meetings, parent conferences, and team discussions as needed
- Supporting inclusive practices to help students succeed both academically and functionally
