School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Whites City, New Mexico

Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico COTA license required
- School-based or pediatric experience highly valued
- Preferred: Current New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) license
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive therapy environment
- Flexibility to work with a range of ages and abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to a diverse K-12 student caseload
- Partner closely with school staff and licensed OTs to support student IEP goals
- Implement treatment plans and intervention strategies designed to increase student participation
- Accurately document student progress and maintain timely records
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet individualized student needs
- Contribute to IEP meetings and share insights to optimize student outcomes
- Engage regularly with teachers and families to encourage carryover of therapy goals
